What Players Say

"Genuinely, I am massively impressed with my custom Persephone. I do own many high-end instruments including Les Pauls, Custom Shop Strats, PRSs, Suhrs and other handmade to order guitars and I would say 'get in quick'. My Persephone is SO well made I was shocked. The finish is flawless. The intonation is perfect. The service was faultless. Honestly, I am genuinely impressed. Thank you Adam."

— Simon

"It was the best set-up guitar at the show. Felt SO professional and so easy to play."

— Andy, Guitar Geek

"It was the best guitar we played at the show. The quality of your guitars is second to none in my opinion."

— Sean

"This is a really special guitar to play. The action is incredible. Adam was telling me a little about how it was made earlier, and yeah, he really knows his stuff! A lot of care has gone into the small details."

— Alex Butler

"Amazing guitars — ridiculously easy to play and unbelievable value."

— Gareth Moulton, Cutting Crew

Pioneers of Digital Lutherie

Hi, we're Core Guitars. We have some simple beliefs: listen to the guitar community, use modern technology to drive innovation, and build genuinely great quality guitars.

We were founded by Adam — an Automotive Engineer with experience in green technology and early-stage product development. Frustrated by an industry where 'custom' meant either eye-watering prices or a tick-box exercise, he set out to build something different.

By harnessing CNC automation, precision engineering, and a direct-to-customer model, we've eliminated the inefficiencies that inflate traditional custom shop prices. Every Core Guitar is machined to tolerances borrowed from aerospace, then hand-finished and set up in Great Britain.

The result: bespoke-level instruments at production prices.

Precision CNC Machining

By automating rough carving and routing, we eliminate human error and dramatically reduce labour costs — passing the savings directly to you.

PLEK Fret Dressing

Every Custom-tier guitar receives professional PLEK fret dressing at Charlie Chandler's Guitar Experience, guaranteeing perfect playability straight from the box.

British Assembly

Technology builds the foundation, but human hands create the soul. Every fret is levelled, dressed, and polished. Every guitar is set up and play-tested before it leaves us.

The Build Process

From your first message to the guitar arriving at your door — here's exactly what happens.

1

Configure & Order

Browse our options and fill in the order form with your preferred specs. Our team will review and get back to you within 24 hours to confirm details and pricing. You can pay in full, or choose our 50% deposit + 3 monthly instalments option.

2

Specification Review

We spend time reviewing your build to ensure everything makes sense tonally and aesthetically. If anything seems off, we'll reach out to suggest alternatives — always aiming to keep you within budget.

3

Machining & Build

We procure your specified tonewoods and hardware, then machine your body and neck to 0.01mm tolerances. All machining is conducted in the UK. Expected time: under 6 weeks from order confirmation.

4

Finishing & Assembly

Your guitar receives its finish — oil, satin, or gloss — before your chosen pickups, tuners, and bridge are assembled. Custom-tier guitars then go to the PLEK machine for fret dressing.

5

Quality Check & Delivery

Every guitar undergoes a thorough quality inspection and play test. Only when we're completely satisfied does it begin its journey to you. UK delivery: 1–3 working days, fully insured.

Total lead time: within 15 weeks.
